Osiris
Osiris is the student information system, that records all student data, from enrollment right through to graduation. You can use Osiris to view your grades, register for courses and examinations, and to keep track of your progress. If you have more questions you can contact the Education and Student Affairs (ESA) office at the Metaforum/Library or you can contact them by email at ESA@tue.nl
To register for courses in Osiris, you can go to the “Enrol” page. You can access this page by clicking on the left sidebar icon with a pencil. This will take you to a page showing buttons for courses, tests, minor degrees, and showing your current enrolments. By clicking on the “courses” button, you can then enrol for courses by searching for whichever course you are interested in. You will automatically be enrolled for the exam of that course, but not the resit.
If you’re planning to take a resit exam, you will need to enrol for it. To do so, you can click the “tests” button on the enrol page to register for the resit of your choice.
Any courses you register for should appear in your TE TimeEdit personal calendar.
Registration Deadlines
It is important to note the deadlines for course registration, which is usually a month before the coming quartile. You can find the deadlines on the relevant academic agenda for your year. If you have not managed to register for your course before the deadline, you will have to pay an administrative cost of €20 for each course you want to register to after the deadline. More information can be found here.
Elective Courses
Elective courses are courses you take outside the study package of your faculty. To register for an elective course you first need to have the elective package approved by the Examination Committee. This can be done through the use of PlanApp.
PlanApp
Osiris also has a PlanApp to help you plan your courses during your study period. This tool is very helpful because it shows the timeslots of each course and whether a course will clash with another course you are taking. It also is where you will send in your elective plan to get approved by the examination committee.
For tutorials on how to use PlanApp and submit your elective plan, see TU/e's guide.
